Monzell Simmons Moore, 89, formerly of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with her Savior on June 02, 2023 at The Greens at Gastonia.

She was born in Banks County, GA, daughter of the late Ruppert and Alice Lane Simmons and was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bobby Gene Moore. Monzell was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Avery Moore, a grandson, Chadwick Moore, an infant twin brother, her brother, Ervin Simmons and her sister, Wordlie Lee Simmons. Monzell worked for a short time at Homelite and Rauch Industries making Christmas ornaments but she was always a full time, wife, mother, and homemaker for her family. She attended Penleys Chapel where she was active in many church events. She was an avid collector of Elvis memorabilia and doll figurines. Monzell enjoyed traveling and visiting the coast and the mountains with her family. She was a wonderful mother and Maw Maw who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Grandchildren: Keerstan Jackson (Uriah), Stephanie Moore (Zeke Shuler), and Bradley Moore (Avery)

Daughter-in-law: Norma Moore

Sister-in-law: Sadie Simmons

Brother and Sister in Christ: Donnie and Doris Richmond and sons, Donnie Jr. and Dale
