Nancy Ledford Green of Ellenboro passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Nancy was born on Monday, February 24, 1941 in Yancey County, NC to the late John Ledford and Mae Cooper Ledford. She was a graduate of Cane River High School, class of 1959. Nancy in textiles for many years and also for Aero Quip. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Jerry Green; brother, Bruce Ledford and sisters, Jeanelle Spratt and Vera Hamrick.
Those left to treasure her memory are her sons, Randy Green (Carol) of Ellenboro and Roger Green (Kimberly) of Cherryville; grandchildren, Matthew Green and Ricky Thompson; nieces, Karen Stacey, Kathy Shepherd, Sonja Greene and a special friend, Frank Slaughter of Elon, NC.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, December 21st at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Kevin Rohm officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
