Natalie Boatwright Williams

Natalie Boatwright Williams, 70, of Concord, North Carolina, died peacefully on August 20, 2024, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital, surrounded by her husband Jeff and closest relatives.

She was a member of the Concord Church of Christ. She then joined Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church in 1985, where she remained a dedicated member for 39 years before her health failed.
Natalie was born on March 29, 1954 in Concord, North Carolina, to the late Nathaniel and Helen Glenn Boatwright. Natalie attended Gardner Webb University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Natalie started her professional career teaching at Jefferson Elementary School. Natalie excelled in her profession, having served as Clerk for the City of Shelby and Clerk to the Director of HUD. Eventually, Natalie became the Assistant Director of Merchandising and Marketing for Boy Scouts of America.
Before her retirement from Boy Scouts of America, she worked on one last project and her proudest accomplishment---being the sponsor of Boy Scouts Pack 141, providing camping equipment to all of the pack members. Natalie devoted herself to the church after her retirement, cooking and serving food at church functions in her capacity as church mother. In addition, Natalie oversaw the church's floral ministry.
Natalie is preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Helen Glenn Boatwright.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of fifty years, Jeff T. Williams of Concord, NC; her only sibling, Warren Eugene Boatwright of Atlanta GA; aunt, Evelyn Glenn Haynes of Lincolnton, NC; three goddaughters, Antonia Wilson Thompson (Vincent), Shunda Witherspoon, and Shanae Witherspoon of Shelby, NC; two nieces, Teri Hudson and Shabre Boatwright of Mount Holly, NC; one grandnephew Kennedy Hudson of Mount Holly, NC; one grandniece Samadia Woods of Mount Holly, NC; and special cousins who were more like brothers and sisters for this close-knit family. In addition, Natalie leaves to cherish a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In Natalie's memory, the family requests that you inspire the children in their endeavor to succeed in life, as well as education and lifelong teaching. In the words of Natalie: "Save the Children".
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Lawndale, NC at 12:00 p.m
