Nuddie Mae Blackwell, 87, of 154 Great Meadow Rd, passed away on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at her home.

Born in Union, SC, she was the widow of Winford Eugene Blackwell and the daughter of the late Monroe and Dolly Mae Tessinear Painter. Nuddie formerly owned M+M Florist, was affiliated with Gaffney Little League Baseball and Football for many years, and attended True Gospel Independent Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Blackwell are three sons, Billy Blackwell (Cynthia), Terry Blackwell, and Tim Blackwell (Lisa); seven grandchildren: Terry Wayne Blackwell, Jason Blackwell (Leigh), Jott Blackwell (Casey), Josh Blackwell, Tina Morris (Tony), Angel Vinson (Neal), and Cassandra Holcombe (Justin); eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Blackwell was preceded in death by two brothers, James and George Painter, and two sisters, Betty Boulware and Kathleen Benton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at True Gospel Independent Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Holden Poole and Rev. Jerry Peck officiating. Interment will be at Frederick Memorial Gardens. Jason Blackwell, Tony Morris, Jott Blackwell, Joshua Blackwell, Neal Vinson, and Terry Wayne Blackwell will serve as pallbearers.
