Ollie Jo Ross

Ollie Jo Ross, 89, of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2025 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. She was born November 28, 1935 in Cleveland County. NC, daughter of the late James C. Turner and Nellie Lee Taylor Turner and was also preceded in death by her husband, Maynard A. Ross. Jo was a devout Christian woman and a lifelong member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. She possessed a generous heart and soul and was always willing to give to others. Jo was a longtime member of the Woman's Club. She was a Master Gardener growing both beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables. Always active, Jo always had a sharp wit and enjoyed cooking, baking, canning and quilting. She possessed a deep love for animals. Jo was a wonderful mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother and dedicated friend to so many. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.

Grandchildren: Allyson Ellis, Tyler Ellis, Matthew Brown, Amanda Wimbish, Brooke Sims, and Stephanie Sutherland
Great- Grandchildren: Carsyn, Landon, Sophia, Trenton, Nikko, and Jordan
Brother: James Howard Turner and wife Rosie, TX
Son-in-law: Alton Ellis, Kings Mountain, NC
Her beloved Yorkie Canine Companions: Bentley Grayson, and Gizmo

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jim Brackett officiating

VISITATION: Sunday, March 23, 2025 immediately following the service at 417 Fulton Drive, Kings Mountain, NC until 4:00 PM

INTERMENT: Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC

Memorials in Jo's memory may be made to the Kings Mountain Woman's Club at 108 East Mountain Street, Kings Mountain, NC 28086
