Palmer Ray Wilson, 83, passed away Tuesday December 7, 2021 at Wendover Hospice. A native of Cleveland Co. he was born to the late "Doc" and Faye Willis Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Janet Wilson, brother bobby Wilson and sister Annice Allen. He was a member od Salem Lutheran Church in Homewood, Illinois and was retired from General Finance Corporation in Chicago. Ray and Janet lived in Homewood, Illinois until her death at which time he moved to Shelby and made his home with his sister, Betty Grant. He is also survived by his special cousin Deloria Leigh of Supply, NC and many extended Chicago and Oregon relatives and loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday December 10, 2021 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Dale Byrd, officiating. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana next to his wife Janet.
