Patricia "Ann Bug" Sims Hartgrove, 72, of 403 Weathers Street, Shelby, NC, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Patricia was born in Cleveland County, NC, on December 15, 1950, to the late Henry Sims and Betty Barron Sims.

Patricia worked at Esther Mills in textiles as a weaver. She attended Cleveland High School. She liked to cook, host friends and family and have a good time.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by son Kenneth Bernard 'Moo Moo' Sims; brothers, James A. Barron, Cedric Sims and Henry Williams Sims, Jr.; and her beloved dog Lucky.

She leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Catherine L. Hosch of Shelby; nieces and nephews, Denise Whitesides (Joe), Charles Logan, Keith Logan (Sherry), Tracy Eaves, and Brian Eaves, and a host of other close friends and family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 2 p.m. at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel with the receiving of family and friends at 1:30 p.m. Burial will take place in Sunset Cemetery.
