Patsy McGinnis Eskew (Nana Pat)

Patsy McGinnis Eskew (Nana Pat), 87, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rena McGinnis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Rena McGinnis, Her sister and husband, Jerry and Jean Thrift, and her son, Rusty Eskew.

Most of her life, she served as a missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators. She served in the Philippines, then in Burkina Faso, Africa. She loved her church, Hope Community Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she loved cooking meals and special treats for the people in her life. She loved reading, and worship, and doing puzzles. Family game nights were on her list of things she enjoyed. She loved looking at the leaves in the fall, especially going up on the Parkway to see them. And when the Crepe Myrtles bloomed in late summer she loved to ride around and look for them and marvel at their different colors. But more than all these things, she loved Jesus with all of who she was. She so wanted all people to know Him as she did, as their Lord and Savior. She prayed for those she knew who hadn't accepted Him. And now she is with Him, the hope she had in this life, of an eternity with Him.

She is survived by her daughter Renae King and husband James. Her daughter-in-law, Gay Eskew. Her grandson Joshua Glover and wife Crystal, Her grandson Alan King and wife Elizabeth, her grandson Aaron King, and her grandson Jordan King. Her grandson Joshua Eskew and wife Kristen. Her granddaughter Kaitlyn Middlebrooks and husband Chanez. Her great-granddaughter Audrie King and her great-granddaughter Brighton King. Her great-granddaughters Sofie and McKinley Middlebrooks. And great-grandsons Chanez and Ja'isaac Middlebrooks.
