Paul Richard Grigg

Paul Richard Grigg born April 30, 1935 in Cleveland County, left his earthly home to join his heavenly Father on Monday, February 24, 2025.



Son of Max Gardner and Estelle Peeler Grigg, Paul was co-owner of Lawncase Dairy from 1946-1986 first with his father Max and then wife, Peggy. Paul's love for the land was evident based on his hard work and long hours. This was also evident later in life though his passion for mowing grass on his John Deere mower.



After retiring from the dairy farm, Paul and Peggy traveled extensively in the US. They both enjoyed their 2nd home in Oak Island and spending time and traveling with their grandchildren.



Paul was a member of Kistler's United Methodist Church.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Richard Grigg; son, Richard Neal Grigg and son-in-law, Michael Pruett.



Survived by his wife, Mary Wray Grigg; daughter, Paula Grigg Pruett of Ellenboro; grandson, Robbie Pruett; granddaughter, Kimberly Mullinax (Frankie); great-grandchildren, Karley Mullinax, Blaine Pruett and Keegan Pruett. He is also survived by Mary's children, Scott Warlick (Melissa), Lisa Saurborn (Mike), Lynn Coker (John) and their families.



The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.



A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 11:00am at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Doug Pruett and Tim Ware officiating.



Burial will follow at Kistler's United Methodist Church Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby NC 28150.
