Phyllis Richards Brackett, 84, of Lawndale, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation Center, Cherryville.

Born in Cleveland County, on November 28, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Fred Leonard Richards and Edith Mildred Mauney Richards. She was retired from Winn-Dixie and was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Donald Ward Brackett; son, Mark Brackett; brother, Roger Richards; and two sisters, Martha Jean Richards and Connie Bridges.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Boggs and husband Dan, Sr. of Polkville, daughter-in-law, Billie Brackett of Lawndale, and two grandsons, Dan Boggs, Jr. and wife, Jackie of Wilmington and Corey Brackett of Lawndale.

A private service will be held Saturday morning at Lawndale Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Kilby officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM at Lawndale Baptist Church.
