Chicago-based pianist to play an eclectic mix of piano pieces at the Abbey. Mark Valenti brings an exciting program of rarely heard piano works to Belmont Abbey on Monday, February 1, 2016. The program includes music by J.S. Bach, Claude Debussy, the Hungarian composer Bela Bartok and Brazilian composer Hector Villa-Lobos. Most works, except for those by Bach, were composed in the early 20th century but have very distinctive composition styles making for an enjoyable listening experience.
