Queneth Barry Greene, 82, completed his earthly race on December 6, 2023 and entered his eternal home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Born in Cleveland County on August 16, 1941, he was the son of the late Willie A. Green and Queneth Haas Green. In addition to his parents, Barry is preceded in death by his sister, Carol White (Gene) and mother-in-law, Moseline Beam Blanton.

Barry faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force and served a tour of duty in Alaska. Barry taught Sunday school at the Shelby Fire Department for over 39 years and he will be remembered for his faithful service to his country, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and most of all his family.

Barry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Blanton Greene, three children, Queneth Yuri Greene (Kim), Leslie Noel Greene (Lucio Iaconetti), Jason Barry Greene, brother Rev. Marvin Green (Margaret) and four grandchildren, Laura Greene, John Greene, Chloe Greene, Willa Greene. Also left to cherish his memory are his sister-in-laws Edris Melton and Mary Sue Blanton, brother-in-law, Scott Blanton (Carol), as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Northside Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force. The family will receive friends following the service.
