R. Edward Causby, 59, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 04, 2024 at his home in Shelby, with his family by his side.

He was born on May 13, 1965 in Cleveland County, to Mary Elaine Nance Causby of Cherryville and the late J.C. Causby. Edward was the owner & operator of RE Causby Transport and a member of Wallace Grove Baptist Church.

Edward will be remembered as a humble man that would help anyone and impacting so many lives. He never met a stranger. Edward was a loving son, husband, father brother and friend who will be missed greatly.

In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law Charleen Simons, brother-in-law, Chester Walls and sister-in-law Robin Walls.

Robert is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Wendy Walls Causby; two daughters, Jessica Causby of Lawndale and Catelyn Causby of Shelby; brother, Roger Causby and wife, Lynn of Shelby; two sisters Robin Hamby and husband Steve of Cherryville and Vicki Causby of Mt. Holly; four grandchildren, Dalton Owens, Madison Scism, Caleb Scism, and Tinley Causby; many nieces and nephews that he loved like his own and his german shepard, Jinxy.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Fallston.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Wallace Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
