Raymond Jerald "Jerry" Hensley, 80, died Thursday, December 15, 2022.

Born in Danville, VA, he was the son of the late Raymond Arnold and Shirley Scruggs Hensley. Jerry worked for Holman & Moody for many years, later working and retiring from PPG after nearly 30 years of service. After retirement, he worked for the Town of Boiling Springs, where he was often seen out working to make things better. He had a love for race cars, hotrods, Clemson Tigers and collecting electric trains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Jace Cole.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Janith Hamrick Hensley of the home; daughters, Jeri Ann Cash and husband Bill of Wilmington and Jill Hensley of Bostic; grandchildren, Jenna Camp, Danny Powell, Jilliann Cash, Abbi Cash, Jackson Cash and Jake Garrett; great-grandchildren, Jaxx and Jett Camp; and many other extended family.

The family will receive friend 2:00PM-4:00PM, Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will be held in Cleveland Memorial Park with the Rev. Chris Little officiating.
