At this year’s annual vehicle raffle held at the Fairgrounds’ Goforth Hall, Joe’s widow, Sophie (pictured left) came with her sister. It just wouldn’t be a Boys’ and Girls’ Club event without a Goforth. This year’s lucky winning ticket #138 took home a new Ford truck!

“Livin’ The Dream” In Shelby
“Livin’ The Dream” In Shelby
Joe Lovelace and Stony Yearwood, of Trendsetters Salon, add some finishing touches to Crest student, Dillon Hamrick on the Tigi Rockaholic-Bed Head “Livin’ the Dream” tour bus. The famous multi-million dollar bus spent Tuesday, June 15th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Trendsetters and was one of only four stops it made in North Carolina. To tour the Tigi bus in itself was awesome! With the likes of “Kiss” now back on tour, the rock community is once again big on cosmic make up. The bus was previously the tour bus for Rod Stewart, Def Leppard, Bryan Adams, Jimmy Buffet, Huey Lewis, Velvet Revolver, Third Eye Blind and Poison. For your next cosmic makeover be sure to visit Trendsetters. They are located at 1632 S. DeKalb St. in Shelby.
