Mr. Richard “Dick” Warlick, 80, of Shelby, NC, passed away at Cleveland Regional Medical Center on November 24, 2012. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Grady Green and Mary Warlick Patterson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gene Patterson.
Mr. Warlick retired from textiles where he was a supply clerk. He was a member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church for fifty-six years and served in the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Lizzie Parker Warlick of the home; a son, Jeff Warlick of Lawndale; a daughter, Robin Hamrick & husband, Reggie of Shelby; a brother, Mike Patterson & wife, Sue of Stanley; grandchildren, Kristen Hamrick, Kelly Hamrick, Jonathan Hargett, Ashley James & husband, Kenneth, Matthew Warlick, Selena Warlick and Beth Warlick; great grandchildren, Jacob Hamrick, Hunter Hamrick, Isaac James, Isabell James and Maysin Hargett; special friends, Tommy & Janet Pittman, Roger & Jonathan Wray; and his dog, Dixie.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory, Tuesday, November 27th, 6:00 – 8:00 pm and other times at the home,
647 E. Sanders Rd., Shelby, NC.
