Richard Hope, 82, of 145 Fayssoux Dr., passed away on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.

Born in York, SC, he was the husband of Marjorie Ashley Hope and the son of the late William and Myrtle Baber Hope. Richard retired from Bellsouth and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hope is survived by two sons, Brad Hope (Jenifer) of California, MO and Blake Hope of Mocksville, NC, and the apple of his eye, Haley Hope, three additional grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Hope.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm at St. John United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Johns United Methodist Church, PO Box 703, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
