Richard "Ricky" Alex Lemons, 66, of Lawndale passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born on October 25, 1958 in Cleveland County and was a son of the late Jerry Alex Lemons and Ellen Lee Rollins Horton. Ricky had worked in textiles and attended Landmark Baptist Church and Sandy Run Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Lail Lemons; three children, John Lemons of Shelby, Ashley Parker and husband Travis of Myrtle Beach and Tammy Green of Lawndale; two sisters, Pam Lail of Boiling Springs and Susan Wood and husband Ronnie of Ellenboro; special family friend Scott Lail; numerous grandchildren and his beloved dog, Lilly.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Wade Dellinger officiating.

The burial will follow in the Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
