Ricky Lynn Welch, 62, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on December 09, 2024 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

He was born March 27, 1962 in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Don and Bobbie Bennett Welch and was preceded in death by his brother, Don Welch Jr. and his sister, Lynn Wilson. Ricky was a former member of Eastside Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church and enjoyed attending New Buffalo Baptist Church in Grover. He worked as a welder for most of his life and in later years enjoyed working as a custodian for Cleveland County Schools. Ricky was an avid high school football fan and loved camping and fishing in his spare time. He loved to sing in every church he attended and would often break out in song to anyone who would listen. Ricky never met a stranger and loved talking to people. He was a wonderful husband and provider and will be missed by every person who knew him.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, December 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Adam Green officiating

VISITATION: Friday, December 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
