Ricky "Rick" Dean Gantt, 63, of Rocky Ridge Road, Connelly Springs, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at UNC Health - Blue Ridge, Morganton.

Born in Cleveland County, on June 1, 1958, he was the son of the late James (Jim) B. Gantt and Doris Ruppe Gantt. He was retired from West End and was a member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church. Rick served in the US Army.

He is survived by his son, Mick Gantt of Connelly Springs; daughter, Madison Gantt of Morganton; two sisters, Robin Motley of Monroe and Rhonda Galloway of Shelby and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 2:00pm at Anthony Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Bean officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Cleveland Memorial Park.
