Ritta Maxine Carrigan, 82, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Carolina Care in Cherryville.

A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late John William and Margaret Myers Carrigan.

She loved to shop and spend time at the beach. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Hope and husband Norman; brother, Charlie Carrigan and wife Betty, both of King Mountain; grandchildren, Brandi Torres and husband Joe, Cameron Richard, Jack Hope and wife Ashley, Daniel Hope and Casey Hope and wife Amber; great grandchildren, Jordan, Josh and Harper Torres, Kallie, Emma and Luke Hope, Devin Hope, Danielle and Michael Richard and Faith Hope; and special family friends, Lisa and James Price of Shelby.

Funeral services will be held 3:00PM, Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel in Kings Mountain, with the Rev. Michael Chambers officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. A family burial will take place Monday morning in Cleveland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Carolina Care, 111 Harrelson Rd., Cherryville, NC 28021
