RL Lewis Shirrell, 69, of Shelby, NC passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Charlotte Medical Center.

He was born on January 17, 1955 to the late Henry and Roxanne Rogers Shirrell.
Lewis attended Holly High School and worked at Bayliner. Lewis loved listening to music, washing his vehicles and colleting antiques. He loved his life partner, son, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, John Henry and Joseph Sherrill.
He is survived by his life partner Adele Ruff; son, Travis (Adrian) Gilmore; one grandchild Anniston Gilmore; sisters, Doris Robinson, Evangelist Mary Ann McCorkle, Regina (Nathan) Adams; special niece Shakinda Brown (Sugamama) Pooh and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel, Shelby, NC at 2:30 p.m.
