Robert "Bob" Eugene Anthony, 85 of Robert Road, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Atrium Health - Cabarrus.

Born in Lincoln County on March 4, 1938, he was the son of the late William Cone Anthony and Mae Belle Watts Anthony. Bob served in the Army and was a member of the The Screen Actors Guild. He was a retired actor, artist and writer.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, James Anthony.

He is survived by his sister, Connie Barger and husband, Bill of Crouse; a nephew, Scott Anthony of Bessemer City; a niece, Amy Chafin of Hampstead; four great-nephews, Scottie Anthony, Wesley Anthony, Connor Chafin and Brendan Chafin and a great-niece, Kylie Chafin and three great-great nieces, Addie Anthony, Addie Young and Kora Chafin.

A Memorial Service will he held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel.

The burial will be private.
