Robert Earl Walker, 81, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at his home.

He was born on December 13, 1943 in Cleveland County, and was the son of the late J.D. and Mertus Philbeck Walker. Robert retired in 1995 from Shelby Supply in sales and was a member of Friendship Methodist Church. He had previously served as a scout master for Troop 111 and coached little league baseball. Robert was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed participating in the activities with his sons.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Linda Bridges Walker; two sons, Scott Walker and wife Candace of Fallston and Tim Walker and wife Candis of Boone; and three grandsons, Zeke Walker and Nathaniel Walker both of Boone and Adam Mitcham of Granite Falls.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Memorial Park with the Mr. David Holden and Rev. Wes Brown officiating.
