Robin Taylor Burton, 67 of Hawthorne Road, Shelby, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Atrium Health - Cleveland, Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County, on February 8, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Norman Edwin Taylor and Ruth Blanton Taylor. Robin retired from Gardner-Webb University and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Don and Kathy Taylor and brother-in-law, Harold Traylor.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, William "Bill" Lutz Burton; daughter, Meredith Burton and fiance, Carson Muir of Savannah, Georgia and sister, Barbara Taylor Traylor of Shelby and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 2:00pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Blanton officiating.
