Roger Dale Matheney, 71, passed away August 26, 2024 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

Born in Cleveland County on November 11, 1952 he was the son of the late Troy Mack Matheney and Patsy Joan Short Matheney. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother David Matheney.

Roger is survived by his brother Dennis Matheney (Vickie), as well as his nieces Kirsten Billings (Derrick), Leslie Smith (Josh) and other family.

To honor Roger's wishes, the family will hold services privately.
