SHELBY- Ronnie Buff, 68, died Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Garland and Virginia Lutz Buff. He owned and operated Shadyside Dragway for 38 years, and Cherokee Speedway for 17 years. He was also the former owner of Harris Speedway in Rutherford Co. Ronnie had a love for riding motorcycles, in addition to cars.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gail Wright Buff, of the home; son, Lennie Buff and fiancée Cristy Echoles of Shelby; sister, Diane Buff of Casar; grandchildren, Seth Buff and wife Anna, Zach Buff and wife Kayla, and Bryson Buff, all of Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will gather to receive friends, 1-3pm, Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

GRAVESIDE: A graveside service will take place 2pm, Sunday, April 22, 2018, on the family property, at Shadyside Dragway. He will take his last ride down the strip in Clay-Barnette's 1936 Plymouth Hearse, prior to the service.

OFFICIATING: The Rev. Dr. J. Eric Davis will officiate.
