Sammie Wayne Anderson, 71, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on May 02, 2024 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Wayne Henry and Oleene Lockridge Anderson. Sammie attended several churches in Kings Mountain during his lifetime. He retired from the city of Kings Mountain sanitation department after 20 years of service and worked for many years in the textile industry. Sammie enjoyed collecting and could often be found at the flea market looking for his next treasure. He enjoyed keeping chickens and always had a couple around his home. His life was devoted to his family and always cherished time spent with his mother and brother. Sammie was always active and enjoyed walking all over town. He will be missed dearly by his friends and the community.

VISITATION: Monday, May 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
