Cherryville- Mrs. Sandra Beam "Sandy" Mitchem, 57, passed away peacefully on
Tuesday, January 21, 2020 surrounded by her family at Atrium Health -
Cleveland in Shelby.

Sandy was born on May 11, 1962 in Cleveland County, North Carolina a
daughter of the late Donald Everett Beam, Sr. and Janois Norman Beam. She
worked for Moose Auto Sales in Bessemer City and also worked in retail. She
was of the Methodist faith, a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church
and the United Methodist Women, Vera Eaker Circle, of the First United
Methodist Church in Cherryville. She enjoyed trips to the beach.

Survivors include her daughter Haley Craft and husband Pete of Cherryville;
the joy of her life, her grandson John Weslee Craft; two sisters, Sherry
Rogers of Salem, SC and Amy Goodman of Cherryville; a brother, Don Beam of
Murray, Kentucky and also a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 1:00PM to 7:00PM at the
home of Haley and Pete Craft, 303 Lee Black Road, Cherryville.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, January 25,
2020 at City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Zack Christy officiating.
