Sandra Jean Houser

Sandra Jean Houser, 79, of Shelby, NC, entered into her eternal rest on August 29, 2024 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Jack and Rosalie Poppell Camp and was preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Camp, and 2 sisters, June Martin and Judith Spencer. Sandra was a faithful member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church for more than 20 years. She was seamstress most of her life having worked at Clevemont Mills for 29 years then at Bradington Young for almost 15 years. Sandra enjoyed staying busy. Whether sewing, cooking and baking, tending to her beautiful flowers or keeping her home and yard tidy, Sandra was always on the move. She loved taking family beach trips and using her talents to grow gorgeous flowers inside and outside of her home. No matter how busy Sandra was, she always had time to spend with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she always placed at the center of her life. Sandra loved spending time around her family and looked forward to the Christmas season with a childlike wonder, as it was her favorite holiday. Always positive, Sandra never uttered a harsh word against anyone and always encouraged others to keep a positive and loving outlook on life. Her sweet spirit, kind heart, and love for family and friends will be remembered and cherish for a lifetime by all those who knew her.
