Sharon Wilson Grigg

Sharon Wilson Grigg, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at Wendover Hospice House. Born on April 1, 1944, in Rutherford County, Sharon's life was a testament to her kind, faith-filled, and creative spirit.

Sharon's journey began as the daughter of the late Lawrence Vernon Wilson and Flossie Robinson Wilson. She was a beacon of love and strength for her family, and her presence will be profoundly missed. Sharon is survived by her devoted husband, William Warren Grigg, Jr., and her loving sons, Jeff Carroll, John Carroll, and Richard Carroll and his wife Mary, all of Fallston and two stepchildren Bryan Grigg and wife Krista of Kentucky and Emily Grigg of Gaffney. Her legacy continues through her sister, Eula Mae Crews of Vermont, her adoring grandchildren, Kyra Carroll, Emalea Earle and her husband Adam, Dylan McConnell, Savannah Carroll, and her cherished great-grandchildren, Mason Scott, Arielle Earle, and Makailen (Kail) Abdalla and eight step-grandchildren. Sharon's life was enriched by the close bonds she shared with her dear friends Judy Hunt, Madge Beam, and Veronica Walker and the unwavering devotion of her fur babies Quincey and Chloe.

Since her passing, Sharon was reunited in spirit with her parents, her son David Carroll, and her sister, Nona Shuford, who preceded her in death.

Sharon's professional life was marked by her entrepreneurial spirit as the owner and operator of Sharon's Home Town Framing. Prior to this venture, she dedicated twenty-six years of service to the Cleveland Regional Medical Center as an emergency room technician. Her commitment to her community was further exemplified by her thirteen years of volunteer work with the Upper Cleveland Rescue Squad.

Music played a central role in Sharon's life. She served as the former choir director at Plainsview Baptist Church and was the former children's choir director at Fallston Baptist Church. Her love for music was only matched by her passion for travel, with cherished trips to the beach, Dollywood, and the joy she found in cooking for her family.

Sharon Wilson Grigg's life was a beautiful melody of service, love, and creativity. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her spirit will remain a guiding light for her family and friends. Sharon's life was a portrait of compassion and devotion, and she will be remembered with profound love and respect.

The family will greet friends one hour before the service in the family life center at Fallston Baptist Church.

A service of celebration and remembrance will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Fallston Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby LeRoy and Rev. David Blanton officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
