Steven "Mike" Grant, age 47, of Mooresboro, passed away June 12, 2023 in his home, surrounded by love.

Left to cherish beautiful and everlasting memories is his loving wife of 27 years, Misty Ivey Grant. In addition to his wife, there are his two sons: David and Ricky Grant, of Mooresboro. He had a brother Curtis Lewis of Shelby, NC and three sisters: Donna Jones of Shelby, NC, Joy Ivey of Mooresboro, NC, and Deana Ivey of Boiling Spring, SC. He also had nieces and nephews that he loved like his own.

Born April 27, 1976, in Cleveland County, NC. Mike was the son of Juanita Grant and the late Steve Grant.

Mike worked at Eaton in Forest City, NC, for 17 years. He was a Deacon and member of CCBC. He taught Sunday School, Mission Friends, Children's Church, helped with the nursery and taught RA's. Mike spent many years on the Crest High Football Chain Crew. He coached football for the Little Chargers and baseball at the YMCA. He loved his family, friends, church family & coworkers. He loved sports, especially the Miami Hurricanes and Carolina Panthers. His favorite thing was playing and watching sports with his boys and loving wife.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 23, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC. The family will conduct their own memorial service Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Camps Creek Baptist Church of Mooresboro, NC beginning at 2:00pm. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
