Susan Lynch, age 59, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at her mother's home while under Hospice Care.
Susan was born Thursday, October 8, 1964, in Rutherford County. Her love for cooking led her to work as a cook for Quincy's and Ryan's restaurants for several years. She also worked for Scott Vending. Her most recent and favorite job was cooking for the children at the Choice Care Daycare in Rutherfordton. Other than her passion for cooking, she also enjoyed crocheting. As a woman of faith, she grew up going to Gilkey Church of God, was a lifelong member of Florence Baptist Church and was a recent member of Piedmont Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Roscoe Laughter and her brothers, Jeffrey, Jerry, Gene and Ronnie Suttles.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of thirty-two years, Danny Lynch; her mother, Ruby Laughter of Rutherfordton; children, Brandy Mitchem (Josh Stickel) of Bostic, Jeffrey Heusinkveld (Amanda) of Mooresboro, Holly Lynch (Zachary Martin) of Rutherfordton and Kendall Lynch (Caleb Colvert) of Forest City; her sisters, Teresa Gibbs (Ronnie), Linda Toney, Helen Champion (Jerry) and Dian Conner; grandchildren, Alex Baynard, Jonah Baynard, Sera Mitchem, Nikolaus Mitchem, Morgan Stickel, Joshua Heusinkveld and Oliver Heusinkveld.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21st at Gilkey Church of God with Reverend Don Johnson and Reverend Sidney Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
