Suzanne Marie DeRisi, age 70 , of Shelby, passed away on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 at Wendover Hospice House.
Suzanne was born in Oak Grove, Illinois on July 6th, 1953. She was the daughter of the late George and Carol Fanslow. Suzanne was a lady who loved the simple things in life. Whether it was reading a good book, working in her flower garden, or just sitting on the back deck at her home enjoying her favorite season and listening to the beautiful sounds of Summer.
Left to cherish the memory of this beautiful lady is her loving husband of 13 years, Joe DeRisi; one son, Paul Box and his wife, Emily; one daughter, Mindy Box; two brothers, Michael and Richard Fanslow; three step-grandchildren, Jackson, Eliza, and Sam Van Hyning as well as many friends she's made along the way.
A funeral to celebrate the life of Suzanne will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Fallston Chapel. Internment will be private. The family of Suzanne will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, March 18, 2024 at the funeral home.
