Thomas Arthur Anthony, Jr., 72, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

He was born on Christmas Day, 1951, in Martinsville, Virginia. Thomas was the son of the late Thomas Arthur Anthony, Sr. and Gladys Howard Anthony. He was preceded in death by his sister Sarah Eloise Anthony and brother Ralph Howard Anthony.
In early adulthood, Thomas was employed by Anthony Construction Company. He was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed building and remodeling homes throughout his life. Before retiring, Thomas devoted many years of hard work to Bridgestone Firestone. His commitment to providing for his family was unwavering. He sacrificially loved and supported his wife and children throughout every season of their lives. In recent years, nothing brought a greater smile to his face than spending time with his two precious grandchildren, Henry, "Henry Skinnery," and Liza Jane, "Little Red". Thomas was a member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain.

Grandchildren: Henry Lee Kistler and Elizabeth Jane Kistler of Gastonia, NC
Sister: Elsie Sink
Sisters-in-law: Jo Darnell (Bob) of Hickory, NC, Joy Williams (Joe) of Kings Mountain, NC
Brother-in-law: Don Bridges (Joelle) of St. Petersburg, FL
Thomas is additionally survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: A private graveside service will be held at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

Visitation: The family will receive friends on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM in the Stained Glass Room of First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain.
