Timothy Joseph Foley

Timothy Joseph Foley was born on December 1, 1953, in Mahopac, New York to the late William and Florence Foley.

He is also predeceased by his older sister, Sharon Foley.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Sharon Foley, daughter Tamara Sullivan (Sean Sullivan), sister Kerry Webb (Brian Webb), granddaughter Liberty Hager, grandson Finn Sullivan, and many nephews.

Tim was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran who served his tour on the USS Sierra AD18 as a pipefitter and firefighter. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in the foothills of Dutchess County, New York. Having always loved the Carolinas, Tim and Sharon moved to North Carolina in 1995 where he worked as a master machinist until he retired. In retirement, Tim enjoyed nature, including stargazing. He liked working with his hands, whether it was large home projects or detailed artwork, especially pen and ink, or painting with acrylics or oils.

Prior to becoming ill, Tim enjoyed walking his dog, Misty, around their neighborhood and reading historical nonfiction, though he had a love for Tom Clancy novels. Tim will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and love of the sports teams: the NY Jets, Carolina Panthers, and Carolina Hurricanes.

Private Services will be held at a later date.

Robert Morgan Funeral and Cremation Service, LLC is honored to serve the Foley Family. Memorial tributes may be made at www.rsmorganfsl.com.
