Timothy Lee Spangler

Timothy Lee Spangler, 78, of Arden Drive, Lincolnton, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville.

Born in Cleveland County, on April 24, 1946, he was a son of the late Hershal Spangler, Sr. and Irene Beheler Spangler. Tim began his working career starting with Southern Bell going to Bell South and ending his career with AT&T as the manger for the western half of North Carolina. He was also a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Lincolnton, where he served as an usher for many years. You could often find Tim on the golf course enjoying a good round of golf with friends and family. He served in the US Army as a Military Police Sargent during Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Hershal Spangler, Jr and Steve Spangler.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Jane Hamrick Spangler; son, Jason Spangler and wife Jackie of Denver; daughter, Mandy Larsen and husband George of Oak Ridge, NC; brother, Dean Spangler and wife Debbie of Shelby; six grandchildren, Nolan Spangler, Avery Spangler, Luke Spangler, Todd Wooten, Bailey Wooten and Ava Larsen.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm, at First Baptist Church - Lincolnton.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Lincolnton with the Dr. Stanley Spence and Dr. Dixon Free officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Double Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery, Shelby with military graveside rites.
