Tommie Lee "TLee" Williams, 69, Lawndale, NC departed this life on Monday, May 6, 2024, at his home. Tommie Lee was born in Cleveland County on July 11, 1954, to the late James Fleetwood Williams Sr. and Lizzie Waller Williams.

Tommie Lee attended Burns High School, where he excelled in football and earned the nickname "Headhunter". After school, he worked at Shuford Mills, as a doffer until retiring. Tommy Lee's favorite football team was the San Francisco 49ers. Tommie Lee enjoyed riding his pony "Peanut" as a child. He loved music and was known for dancing and having a good time, always wearing a warm smile. He was the life of the party. He never met a stranger and greeted everyone joyously. He always saw the good in people. Tommy Lee cherished his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Joann Williams Dover; two brothers, Lewis Calvin Williams, and Elder Michael Williams; one son-in-law, Tracy L. Morris.

He leaves to cherish his only daughter Shonda Lee Morris, of Shelby, NC; three brothers, Peter G. Williams (Sherry) of Shelby, NC; Jeff T. Williams (Natalie) of Concord, and Rev. Dr. James F. Williams Jr. (Dorothy) of Shelby, NC; two sisters-in-laws, Pauline H. Williams and Saronda B. Williams of Shelby, NC; one uncle, James Otis Maddox (Barbara) of Shelby, NC; one aunt, Mae Katherine Williams of Vale, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A reception of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at S. T. Enloe Memorial Chapel from 4 until 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church at 3 pm. Reception of friends and family will be from 2:30 pm until 3 pm. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
