Toni Teague

Toni was born April 22, 1951 (only moments after her "older" twin sister), to Frank Major and Virginia Deats Hahn in Easton, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Kutztown State University with a bachelor's degree in English. And went on to work for the Central Intelligence Agency, where she also met her husband.

After time away to raise her children, she returned to the CIA in 2003 as Chief Editor. There, among her many responsibilities, she worked on the World Fact Book and publication of the Intelligence community's daily briefs for President Barak Obama. In 2014 she finished a distinguished 20-year career of service with the organization.

She retired with her husband to a dream home of their own design on the scenic Broad River in North Carolina -- a home constantly filled with the heavenly smells of gourmet home cooked meals, the sound of clinking glasses, and the warmth of family and friends laughing at Toni's quick witted sense of humor. She was the consummate hostess and her hallmark generosity expressed itself through the love language of thoughtful, personalized gift giving.

In retirement her boundless creativity often had her deep into another arts and crafts project. Toni loved jet-setting to favorite places in France and Portugal, Kenya and the Dominican Republic, and traveled often to visit her grown children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. During her life, she dedicated her fiery passion to numerous social causes, standing up for injustice and blazing a trail with her courage and bravery. Additionally, she was an avid patron of the arts, the theater and the symphony.

Toni is survived by her husband and children Ashley Olivea Teague (New York City, NY), Jordan Daniel Teague (Chicago, IL) and Andrea Kelli Teague (Centreville, VA); twin Jody Hahn Wagner, sister Virginia Deats Hahn both of Wyomissing, PA, and sister Saundra Sue Kearns of Sunset Beach, NC; her three grandchildren Antoney Chayne Baumbach Jr, Briannah Rosa Curtis, and Hazel Mae Nash; and two great grandchildren Antonius Andrew and Luca Lorenzo Baumbach, many nephews, nieces, in-laws,
cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Toni's life will be announced for family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Notch Theatre Company (www.notchtheatre.org), a social-activism arts organization, or to Prospectus Berco, which enriches the lives of people with disabilities and their families.
