Tonya Elaine Blackwell Moore, 54, of Blacksburg, South Carolina, entered into eternity on October 19, 2024, at Caromont Medical Center in Gastonia, NC, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Tonya, also known as "Tonky," enjoyed watching crime shows, was an avid Jimmy Johnson NASCAR fan, and a fan of Jelly Roll. Her greatest achievements were becoming a mother and being known as Gram T. Tonya's career involved working with the public as a cashier and server, and she touched the lives of everyone she met.
Tonya was predeceased by her mother, Priscilla Montgomery; her aunts, Glinda Diaz and Lynn Westmoreland; and her best friends, Elizabeth Sliney and La'mont Sutton.
She is survived by her daughters, Morgan Walker and Autumn Moore (Holden Neal); three grandchildren and a bonus grandchild, all of Blacksburg, SC; her adoptive parents, Gene and Elizabeth Blackwell of Rock Hill, SC; her brother, Bobby Blackwell of Rock Hill, SC; and her adopted siblings, Angel, Shannon, Phillip, and Skye, all of Rock Hill, SC. Tonya was also survived by numerous other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Blacksburg Tabernacle, 509 Cherokee Falls Rd, Blacksburg, SC.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Blacksburg Tabernacle, officiated by Pastor Cogan East. Burial will follow at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 1613 McGill Highway, Smyrna, SC.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Caramont Medical Center for their exceptional care of Tonya during her illness.
