Valeria Childers Hoyle of Vale finished her course of faith triumphantly on the evening of March 11, 2024.

Born on May 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Rosa Childers of Drexel. She married Richard "Dickie" Hoyle in 1953 becoming a military wife stationed in Oklahoma and Germany. Upon returning to the U.S. Mrs. Hoyle became a bookkeeper, the owner / operator of Humpty Dumpty Daycare and assisted her husband at the Carolina Restaurant in Lincolnton and later in its Vale location.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard "Dickie," a daughter, Tanya Matthews and a brother Junior Childers and infant grandson.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Heidi Hoyle Houser (Michael Houser); daughter Twila Hoyle; son, Jesse Hoyle and son-in-law, Tony Matthews. Mrs. Hoyle was blessed with grandchildren, Valarie Smith (Donald), Suzanne Atkins (Seth), Emily Gardner, (Zene Dellinger); great grandchildren Alaina Walker, Ryder Dellinger and Ryleigh Kate Dellinger and her nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 11:00AM at Macedonia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tony Matthews and Rev. Jonathan LeMaster-Smith officiating.
