Mrs. Vanda Kay Hamrick, 75, passed away Saturday February 22, 2025, at her residence. A native of Buncombe County, she was born on, February 8, 1950, daughter of the late Clarence and Beulah Boone Brown. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two daughters, Pamela Kay Clark and Amy Lynn Smith.
Mrs. Hamrick is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael Hamrick of the home, one brother, John Brown of Banner Elk, NC, four grandchildren, Brianna Clark, Michal Ferguson, Stevie Maldonado and husband Isaiah, and Zachary Smith, one great grandchild, Will Powell.
Mrs. Hamrick along with her husband are members of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and announced by the family.
