Virginia Ruth Ledbetter Costner, 84 of Sugar Hill Road, Lawndale, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at residence.

Born in Cleveland County, NC on July 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Grover Wilson Ledbetter and Laura Alder Hartman Ledbetter. Mrs. Costner was retired from Shadowline and was a member of Plainsview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Dean Costner; daughter-in-law, Vickie Costner; two sons-in-law, Theodore Sarinana and Sterling Pryor; brother, Dan Ledbetter and two sisters, Ann Pennington and Beatrice Adams.

Survivors include her son, Andy Costner; two daughters, Jane Sarinana and Judy Pryor all of Lawndale; brother, Jim Ledbetter of Fallston; grandchildren, Tommy Hudson, Kaylin Hudson, Carmella Sarinana, Kirsten Pryor Hudson and Nakota Pryor and five great grandchildren, Adrian Watson, Elijah Watson, Kaylee Watson, Rhett Hudson and Khalil Watson

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Key officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Friendly Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
