Von Frazier

Von Frazier, 86, of 1116 Lavender Rd, passed away on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 at home.

Born April 3, 1937, in Sevier County, Tennessee, he was the husband of Louise McCarter Frazier and son of Kermit and Effie Frazier.

Von was known and loved by many. He was a proud Seaman Recruit in the U.S. Navy. He loved the Lord and attended New Buffalo Baptist Church where he was a member. Many knew him by his stories and tales that he used to tell. If his feet could talk, they''d tell you about the many miles that he walked and all about his travels. He was a jack of all trades and master of many. He loved woodworking, and his favorite was making handmade/hand carved wooden walking sticks. In fact, if he gave you a walking stick, he considered you to be special to him. He was a self-taught guitar and banjo player. He loved playing and singing, and especially listening to gospel music. You may have seen him out and about in the Town of Grover where he enjoyed the flea market and catching up with the daily news with friends over coffee and breakfast. In his later years, he enjoyed having visits from his children, grandchildren and friends. He also enjoyed time spent with his beloved dogs. In his lifetime, 60 years was spent with his loving and faithful wife, Louise by his side. They had many adventures together. They loved each other immensely through thick and thin.

In addition to his devoted wife of 60 years, Louise, surviving Mr. Frazier are four children, Darryl Frazier, of Sevierville, TN, David (Jerrie) Frazier, of Grover, NC, Randy (Lisa) Frazier, of Ellenboro, NC, Pam Frazier (Paul Muller), of Grover, NC; grandchildren, Matthew Frazier, Kristi Frazier, Lewis Ellis, Bradley Ellis, Peyton Frazier; special consideration, Jennifer Frazier Blazer; great-grandchildren, Alivanna and Lachlan Frazier, and Eva Porter.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Frazier was preceded in death by brother and sisters, Gladys Cook, Lawrence "Son" Frazier, Ruby Presnell, Annette Caldwell, Rusty "Bud" Frazier; and a special daughter-in-law, Becky Frazier.

While we all will miss his sharp wit, funny tales, and generous heart, we know he is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and many family members gone on before him.

Until we see you again!

Love, Louise and the kids.
