Willie Joe Owens, 76, a native of Cleveland County, passed away peacefully in Johnson City, Tennessee on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

Willie was born in Cleveland County on July 29, 1949, and was a son of the lates Paul and Faye Owens. Willie retired from the construction field where he took pride in building roof trusses for other peoples homes. Willie proudly served his country by joining the United States Army.

Left to cherish the memory of Willie is his wife Wanda Owens; two daughters, Michelle Moffitt and husband, Jeff and Angela Putnam and husband Chris; a brother, C.P. Owens and wife JoAnne; two sisters, Irene Willis and husband Norris and Mary Hull and husband Ronnie; and five grandchildren, Dakota Putnam and wife Ashley, Dustin Putnam, Huntley Moffitt, Cadence Moffitt and Lila Moffitt.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM, Noon, with the Rev. Norris Willis officiating.
