Transportation Administration of Cleveland County, Inc. (TACC) is a non-profit agency that provides general public transportation for Cleveland County residents.TACC started back in April 1988 in an uptown Shelby location before moving to a spot at the corner of Double Shoals road and NC18. It settled in its present location at 952 Airport Road, Shelby in July 1999. TACC's white and blue vans are a familiar sight in and around the county.

Norma Pennington Sprouse, 82, of 106 North Calles Street, passed away on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, at Peachtree Centre.

Patricia Sigmon Schubert, age 84, formerly of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024, at her residence in Elizabeth City, NC.

Ralph Allen Cook, 71 of Vale, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.

Robert DeMore Wood, Jr., 42, of Dallas, passed away at home on August 15, 2024.
